I need sanity

I'm growing weary of the mob lately and I just wanted to see if I was the only person left in the country that still wants to wait the recession out before calling for Obama's impreachment. Obama doesn't do a bad job, he's trying to clean up a huge mess our country has gotten itself into. People seem to forget that we are in the middle of a crisis, and this crisis has started before Obama was in office. Some people have gotten crazy over it, all but suggesting that it was Obama that started the war in Iraq or it was Obama that caused the recession.   Then there's conspiracy theories, there's the Birthers and the people that say that Obama is Hitler and is going to round up all the white people into death camps. People acutally believe this stuff! And even if you decide to stick it out with the current presidency, even if you want to wait a couple years before making such rash idiotic opinions, you are a "Obama Supporter" and a "sissy bleeding heart liberal" not worth listening to. There is no middle ground anymore, it's all about extremes.    I don't care who's in office anymore and what people are saying about him, I just want the United States to survive inspite of this madness. The world has gone mad!

Um, I don't you're the only one here. Obama shouldn't be impeached, and the only people that say he should are crazy teabaggers with their fingers up the bums of the insurance industry.

I suppose the loud few are so loud sometimes one needs to get things in proper perspective >.

I'm deeply disappointed in the man, but people do need to recognize what he has accomplished so far.

Just a few:

• Signed Lily Ledbetter legislation meant to improve the ability of women who allege pay discrimination to sue their employer
• Lifted the Bush restrictions on federally funded embryonic stem cell research
• Extended benefits to gay partners of federal employees
• Ordered the discontinuation of "enhanced interrogation techniques"
• Signed laws to expand children's health insurance (financed by a 61-cent per pack increase in the federal cigarette tax)
• Lifted travel and remittance restrictions for Cuban Americans who seek to travel more frequently to the island and send more US currency to their immediate family
• Moved to reopen at least a dozen CIA abuse cases
• Ordered the EPA to move to regulate CO2 as a pollutant

"I would urge people to hold Obama accountable — but to give him credit for the many changes he has already made." ~ Al Gore, 12/10/09

Also it's important to note that this is only one year too, people say the fact that everything is not well yet is a "dose of reality" but who really expected recovery to be complete within 12 months?

And it seems many of the unfortunate teabagger types wouldn't see any of those as improvements but as an end to their narrow little world.

I mean, I wish that people would realize he is rather moderate and accept that as well as give him some time. Personally, I see his approval numbers going up next summer with our economy.

How can you be disappointed already? It hasn't even been a full year. Here is how I see everything, I support him whole heartedly. I was one of those people who were cheering in the streets (in the middle of a republican neighborhood none the less lol) when they annouced his win. I do NOT agree with everything, but who will every agree 100%? That is not politics. It took us 8 years to get where we are it will take more than one to get us out. Now that being said as it gets to be 2011 and we are still in the same spot, I will have to rethink things. But I do agree with what Al Gore said and he has done alot for such a short time
